Finnish cuisine – what and where to eat in Helsinki

So where do you eat in Helsinki? I am sure that those who come to Helsinki for the first time are faced with this issue, as well as those who have visited the Finnish capital more than once, but are interested in proven places where you can not only eat tasty food, but also just have a good time for a meal.
In this article I will share with you those places that we liked.
In the previous Finnish trip, we spent a whole week in Helsinki, lived in apartments, but I think you will agree that you don’t always want to go out for groceries and cook food on your own, especially in another country. It is interesting to learn its culture, as well as to get acquainted with the city, including through the kitchen, visiting various interesting cafes, trying new, or proven dishes, but in a different design.
First I will talk about restaurants and cafes in Helsinki, and at the end of the article, see our TOP-Finnish dishes, which you should definitely try, regardless of the cafe and restaurant, this is a kind of culinary “visiting card” of Finland.
Well, if you are only planning your trip to Helsinki, then read our Finnish articles to learn how to diversify your leisure time in the capital, and also see the selection of Helsinki sights here:
10 essential things that you definitely need to do in Helsinki, or how to have a fun weekend in the Finnish capital
What to do in winter Helsinki – from snowmobiles and diving in ice holes to hockey and an ice rink in the city center
Sights of Helsinki, what to see in the Finnish capital for 2 days (+ marks on the map)
You can pick up a hotel here, but you can stay in a private apartment for more budget and comfort, and besides, this is a good way to immerse yourself in the Finnish culture even more deeply. You can rent an apartment through the airbnb service (do not forget to get a bonus here).

So, even if you are staying at a hotel where there is breakfast, you can later look somewhere in the interesting local brunch (something between a breakfast and a lunch).
